About the Pastors
A man after God’s own heart, Lawrence E. Sweeting, senior Pastor, is a native of Hollywood, Florida, who served in the United States Navy. After a life of drugs and other near death experiences he committed and dedicated his life to the Lord.
It was at this time that God separated Apostle Sweeting and began to impart His Word, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Understanding unto him. Apostle Sweeting heeded the voice of God and opened Victory Restoration Tabernacles, Inc., where he is equipping leaders for the furtherance of the ministry.
He is a teacher who instructs the WORD of GOD and walks in the office of an Apostle. He operates in the five-fold ministry and believes in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.
Apostle Sweeting has traveled around the United States teaching the truth according to the Bible. He ministers to people of various cultures, nationalities, demographics and race. He reaches the youth, the middle aged and the elderly and has no restriction or prejudice.
Apostle Sweeting is the eldest of two sons. He is married to the lovely, tenacious Prophetess TaWanda Sweeting, who holds the position of Pastor/Co-Founder. Dearest to their hearts are three adoring children and one grandchild.
